The jump from GCSE Physics to A-level Physics is quite substantial.
At A-level, you will need a strong foundation from your GCSE Physics studies.
Depending on which GCSE Physics course you followed at secondary school, such as Combined Science or Triple Science, you may have some gaps in your knowledge. We will cover all the required content at A-level, but you may want to check whether there are any topics you have missed.
The full GCSE course is covered in OCR Gateway GCSE Physics and CGP GCSE Physics Revision Guide, if you wish to ensure you have covered everything before starting A-level.
For the summer bridging work, I recommend the CGP Head Start to A-Level Physics textbook, although it is not essential.

There will be a lot of maths in A-level physics.
If you are not confident in your maths skills, I would recommend CGP Head Start to A-level Maths.
If you are confident in your GCSE physics and maths skills and wish to do some pre-study for the physics A-Level, the course text is: A Level Physics for OCR A Student Book.
You will need to purchase a copy of the textbook for your studies.
